Little Dixie Regional Libraries is a two-county library system serving Randolph and Monroe counties in Missouri. We have the main branch (Moberly)  and three (3) branches located in HuntsvilleMadison and Paris.

 

        Little Dixie Regional Libraries exists primarily to meet the informational and recreational needs of all residents within it's service area. The role of the library is to provide access to and actively promote public awareness and usage of materials and services to meet the needs, as well as to preserve the cultural and intellectual heritage of the service area.

What the Genealogy Room contains:

  1. Newspaper films from Randolph County newspapers (archive for Moberly Monitor Index) from 1854 to current local Moberly newspaper
  2. Census films for State of Missouri (1830,1840)
  3. Census films for Randolph County (1850-1880,1890 Spec, 1900-1930)
  4. Randolph County Census Index 1830-1880
  5. Index to Randolph and Monroe County cemeteries (last updated late 1970's-early 1980's) Compiled obituary file
  6. Local history, county histories, family histories
  7. Four microfilm reader/printers- one is coin fed, the other three being on the honor system and copies are paid at the Reference Desk.
